I consider myself fortunate to be a part of Peace March on the occasion of the International Non-Violence Day in Penang [Malaysia], history of which goes back to 4000 years, symbolizing acceptability, adaptability, harmony and unity for development, prosperity and wellbeing of one and all. As the United Nations has declared Mahatma Gandhi’s Birthday, the 2nd October, as the International Non-Violence Day; a Public March on this day from a place like Penang is a milestone. Mahatma Gandhi stood for existential safety, progress and the welfare of all on this planet; therefore, an initiative like this, is a motivation for the whole of humanity to step forward for common good by way of co-operation and co-ordination. I understand that our late President Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam came to this very place a few years back wishing for peace and harmony. I pray God –the Almighty to give strength to us, His Best Creations, to transform the Planet Earth into a Real Swarg –a place full of happiness and prosperity for each and every human being without discrimination of any kind.
